Learn & Experience run residential and day Activity Camps in the North of England for children, 8 - 13 years old.
International children attend to improve their English and English children come to learn something new but they all have one thing in common....they just want to have fun...and they will!
We offer a truly unique experience for children with a diverse range of Activity Courses that are for both girls and boys.
Our camps have a fantastic atmosphere and there is always a special buzz!
Our caring staff are on site 24 hours a day and are chosen for their ability to work with children and for their flair/qualifications on the teaching and/or activity front.
Welfare and pastoral care are top priorities too and a matron is always on call. We also place a huge emphasis on safety and security and are constantly reviewing these vital areas.
Children choose two different courses for the morning and the afternoon and will do these for the week. This optimises their learning of their experiences and will also mean they can develop their relationships with both tutors and their new friends.
For our international students English Language teaching is in the morning and is combined with a choice of afternoon activities.
In 2010 we are based at one of the best Independent Schools in the North of England - Aysgarth. Here we are able to experience outdoor adventures in the stunning Yorkshire Dales and Lake District.
Sam Ridgway (Our Director) has been involved with summer camps since 2003 starting at Marlborough College Summer School and was a Housemaster at Forres Sandle Manor, a school in the New Forest, for 5 years. He has a hands-on approach to every aspect of Learn & Experience, and will be on site throughout the summer to ensure that L&E runs to his very high standards. His wife Randa, a doctor, is his rock and gives him fantastic support in the preparations for the camps.
This Summer, Learn & Experience will be working very hard to make it special. We have an extremely experienced team of tutors who have a breadth of knowledge and will provide a memorable experience.
